i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our microclimate forecast. i know a lot of people are thinking about halloween because it falls on a week night. a lot of people have events this weekend. >> that's a great question. i know that we have been talking about the possibility of seeing our temperatures dropping, but i am also monitoring the system that's just off to the north. i'll breakdown what you can expect for halloween. as you head out the door, one spot seeing some fog is the golden gate bridge. look at this shot of san francisco. its 56 degrees right now, but this is what it looks like in san jose. 54 degrees. we'll keep a lot of this cloud cover even in through the interior valleys throughout the entire day so expect filtered sunshine. what that means is basically clouds paired with sun. no major changes there. we can see some of that fog in through the santa rosa area. we'll still tracking 80s for today. what that means is we'll still get pretty warm spots in through the interior valleys but enjoy those 80s because by tomorrow we'll see a

i'm kira klapper.gist rob mayeda has a look at our microclimate forecast. >> pretty, clear skies. san francisco, that's the view, but it comes with a price. we got north winds and offshore breezes in some of the mountains have hit 70 miles per hour in mt. st. helena, mt. diablo 55-mile-per-hour gusts. it helped to bring san francisco's temperatures to 68 degrees, a sign of the offshore dry breezes mixing the warmer air, higher up down toward sea level. look at san jose 61 right now and into dublin 66 degrees and the humidity only at 38% so we got a red flag warning all the way through monday morning. wind advisories for the bay area hills above 1,000 feet that will carry through to monday morning as well, and as you notice that the temperatures starting off in the upper 60s this morning, bayside looking at 70s and 80s near oakland. low 80s for san jose, mid 80s around the tri valley. coming up at 7:00, a closer look hour by hour at the fire conditions. >> very scary. all right, we'll see you at 7:00, r

kira klapper is off this morning vianey arana has been watching this microclimate forecast and i think its less microand more macro because we all have the same heat. >> yeah. its going to be comfortable. its 56 degrees in san francisco. it may be 48 in palo alto, but by the afternoon we're talking upper 70s. now as we head in toward the interior valley, still expect to see quite a nice warmup into those upper 80s. check out the temperature trend for san jose. just a sneak peek by 2:00 p.m. we'll be climbing till about 81 degrees. if you're heading out, a nice early morning jog on this beautiful saturday morning, you may want to head out now, because the temperatures will heat up rather quickly. by 1:00, temperatures will already be in mid-to-upper 70s and we're talking about winds that will be kicking up bringing a big threat for the hills especially elevations over 1,000 feet due to dry, windy conditions and low relative humidity. i'll bring you a complete forecast on that in about 15 minutes. >> we know when there's high fire danger, we say don't mow your lawns. so you're welcome. y

kira klapper has the day off. vianey arana you're declaring an alert? >> the microclimate weather alert is because of the winds and a dry offshore wind that will be kicking up. in fact it's kicking up in the hills. right now we have a bit of a marine layer, about,0 2,000 fee. temperatures as you wake up this morning in the 50s. let's go over some of the things you need to look out as we head toward sunday and monday as well. red flag warning in place with extreme fire danger expected for the north bay mountains, east bay hills and mt. diablo range. the humidity is less than 10% and mountains could see gusts up to 60 miles per hour. that will bring drier conditions and this is why we're telling folks to be on high alert, which is when the concern for downed power lines and downed trees kicks in. it's a good reminder to have your flashlights ready, kind of a to go plan, always be on alert especially when we issue these microclimate weather -- >> one of the reminders, we'll talk about it in a minute, fill up your car. gas stations run on electricity as wel
