i'm kira klapper. vianey arana is continuing to work from home like so many of you and brings us the microclimate forecast. good morning. >> hi. good morning. that view of the golden gate bridge is one of my favorite shots because it showcases the fog and clear skies. i also want to show you how the blanket of cloud looks. let's get right to those graphics. sure, it's cloudy, but the sun will prevail at some point. we'll get peeks of sunshine. san jose's temperature trend really showcases how we will go from 50s into the 60s by 2:00. so a normal high around this time of year is about 69 degrees for san jose. a mostly dry saturday. but we do have a system churning just off of the coast. that's going to bring us our next chance of seeing showers. now the question is how much rain is this system going to bring and also i'll have the latest look at the draught conditions in california coming up in a few minutes. >> thanks. >>> it was an eerily similar scene, but it looked like panic buying was back, except

i'm kira klapper. there's vianey arana, who joins us this morning from home as we are under a micro climate weather alert. and, oh, vianey, it was pouring on my drive in this morning. >>> oh, yeah, we're going to see the heavier rain. good morning, kira. how are you? >> good, how are you? >> good, good. i'm tracking this micro climate weather alert. the rain will be more intense and we'll get a chance of thunderstorms as well. let's take a look at the current temperature in san jose. 53 degrees. as you saw with the live pic, we're seeing some of the rain. take a look at satellite radar. as i mentioned the majority of areas south of the golden gate bridge, not going to expect too much rain. it's a cold front and you can see how active the radar is. i'm zooming this in closer. you can see we have good pockets of rain pushing through gilroy, santa cruz, the peninsula, and even up to the north bay as well. we're going to keep the period of rain at times throughout the entire day today, and here's just a co

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana is there with our forecast. what had morning. what a sight for sore eyes that was. >> i know. good morning. that is one of my favorite live views of the golden gate bridge, especially when the skies are so clear. we do have some areas of low cloud cover, but the sunshine is really going to be dominating today and it is going to warm us up significantly. let's take a live look over san jose right now. we start to get a welcoming site there. and our current temperatures currently at about 57 degrees for san jose. this is actually kind of starting to get really warm. we will warm up very quickly today. you will notice it because look at the temperature difference. so between now and the 50s and 1:00 will be at 79. by 2:00, we're expected to be in the 80 degree mark. expect to hit a high of 82, 83. a normal high for this time of year is 70 degrees. we're certainly feeling above normal with a hint of summer in there. plenty of sunshine. how long is this heat going to last? tha

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our micro climate forecast. warm. >>> it was. it climbed into 80s, upper 80s in the interior valleys. you're right, we are seeing more cloud cover this morning thanks to the marine layer now. you can see it's pretty nice up top. some areas are getting reports of limited visibility including half moon bay down to about three miles because of all the fog. down to about two miles down through santa cruz as well down to about two miles. the rest of the bayla and livermorecover. current temperatures right now in the 50s for the south bay. 53 degrees. 52 for half moon bay. 54 in san francisco. we are expecting to see another warm day but not as warm as yesterday. we're going to cool off by just a little bit in most areas including areas like santa cruz in the 70s. san jose, 78 degrees. concord 80. along the coastline in areas like san francisco, half moon bay we will remain in the 60s. we are going to be a little bit breezier this afternoon. we're going to keep that dry weather pattern at least through today into tomo

i'm kira klapper.> good morning. we'll see some clouds. taking a live look at dublin, you can see we'll get a pretty clear start. but eventually the high clouds as well. live look over san jose right now. current temperatures are fairly mild, but another warm day. temperatures will be in the 60s for san francisco. we're talking 70s for the peninsula. oakland 75 degrees. but if you look through the interiors, 86 degrees. that's 20 degrees warmer than some of our coastline. mostly clear day, but we will get some cloud cover lingering through and the conditions will remain dry. how long are these warmer temperatures going to last and when can we expect to see a little bit of a cool down? i'll have that answer coming for you at 7:00 a.m. >> that's warm. thanks. >>> another three weeks at home. that's what some bay officials say is needed to help lives. one north bay county extended their order and at least some other counties will follow. solano county is the first to extend its shelter in place order. the

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana joins us from home with a look at our micro climate forecast. it got hot yesterday, didn't it? vianey, you have a little bit of a break for some of us. >> it did. >>> yeah, just a little bit. we were in the upper 80s and felt the heat there. today will be a warm day but we are going to cool off a little bit. so far more cloud cover compared to yesterday. right to the fog and visibility. we're getting reports limited visibility through half moon bay and even up to santa rosa, down to a mile in visibility. if you do, for whatever reason, essential reason, you have to drive out to those areas just remember to slow it down as we head in towards the afternoon we'll get some clearing there and more sunshine. we are seeing some areas of cloud cover. look at the sunshine taking over all day long right around 9:00 a.m. cloud cover will turn mostly sunny and our temperature is around 69, 70 degrees. we're going to be slightly warmer than average but slightly cooler as well. so how long will this last and when are we going to see the warm-up? >> we'll see
