thank you for joining us, i'm cierra johnson in for kira klapper.ianey arana joins us with your microclimate forecast. good morning. >>> good morning, cierra, and we are seeing plenty of sunshine inland, as you mentioned, and we're still seeing cloud cover in areas along the coast. take a look at this live look using our weather underground cameras. you could see the cloud cover there. not as dense as the foggy conditions that we saw yesterday. we had that mix out early this morning. i want to talk about the winds and what we're tracking today. that will be the biggest story. 56 degrees in san francisco right now and really throughout the bay area it is cool and comfortable, a great start to our sunday. a quick check of your temperature trend. we're going to notice a lot more cooling inland. 71 degrees around 12:00 and then we're going to be in the low 80s. yesterday we managed to hit upper 80s. here it is, red flag warning in place for the north bay mountains for areas above 1,000 feet. basically what a red flag warning means, it means that the wea

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our forecast. yesterday turned out to be pretty lovely. today you say will be similar? >>> yes, it was a beautiful saturday especially because the temperatures were absolutely perfect for going outside. i hope a lot of you did get a chance to do so. if not, don't worry. 56 degrees right now over walnut creek. wind speeds still breezy at about 13 miles an hour. take a look at san francisco, steady shot there, 53 degrees. wind speeds breezy. 12 miles per hour. let me give you a sneak peek of the temperature trend. santa clara we start off in the 50s and then go into the 60s at about 11:00 a.m. by 1:00, 2:00, we're only going to be topping out in the low 70s. so a cool afternoon but, again, we'll keep the wind in there. now there is a chance that far, far northern california, ukiah, could see some shower activity. aside from that a lovely sunday. how long are these cooler temperatures going to last, though, and when will the hot weather return? i'll have that answer coming up in about 15 minutes. >> w

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana joins us with your microclimate forecast. some of us are waking up to some windy conditions this morning. >> oh, yeah. good morning. we had those winds start to kick up yesterday. we will start to see them with periods of gusts today. you will notice how cool it is going to be and comfortable. of course we're off to a pretty cloudy start. the wind speed 14, 15. current temperatures right now, 50s throughout. so again very comfortable. and here is a closer look at a sneak peek of that temperature trend for the afternoon. notice what happens with the cloud cover in santa clara. we start to notice sunshine peeking through. the temperatures will be topping out only in the low 70s. a lot better than the triple digit heat than we had earlier this week. satellite radar right now, i wanted to show it to you because it showcases that cloud cover. but we're also tracking a system that's dropping just to our north, and that could bring the chance of spotty we'll see you in about 15 minutes. ft a san francisco man was shot and killed by

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at your microclimate forecast on this father's day. hey, vianey. >>> hey, good morning. we do have great weather once again. yesterday, of course, the first official day of summer. so get ready to enjoy your sunday. 63 degrees over walnut creek. i want to show you the forecast for today, the hour-by-hour outlook. this is probably going to be the coolest time of the day. i will fast forward this time line through about 3:00 because look what happens to the temperatures. 80s in the south bay. we have some 70s near oakland, in through the tri-valley, concord, 91. the north bay upper 80s and san francisco, half moon bay will be pretty nice, pretty comfortable. upper 60s, low 70s, and it will be breezy at times, but at least it'll be very sunny which means a little bit of a breeze going to help cool us off a little bit even if it's through the interior valleys. how long are these warmer temperatures going to last? we did start summer but are we going into a stretch? i'll get into that in a few minutes. >> we'll see you in about 15, vianey.

i'm kira klapper.meteorologist rob mayeda is in and he's joining us with a look at the microclimate forecast. good to see you. >> likewise. you brought up the san francisco camera and we will go right back to that as we have a few sprinkles on the camera lens. that's a little sampler we will see around the bay area. keeping temperatures relatively mild. there's a view of the dronz on the drops on the camera lens. we will see numbers climbing towards the mid-60s around lunch time today. you will notice the clouds out there. that will be a common theme for today into tomorrow morning. a few sprinkles at times cool and breezy. highs inland in the low 70s. mid-60s closer to san francisco. interesting to point out as we head towards tomorrow morning, we can see even more in the way of light rain showers into early tomorrow before warmup and clearing trend to warm up the weekend. i'll have a closer look at that in the hour-by-hour forecast in about 15 minutes. back to you. >> see you in about 15, rob. thanks

i'm cierra johnson in for kira klapper. vianey arana joins us with your microclimate forecast.. we saw windy conditions start last night and will see windy conditions yet again today. notice how it is not as foggy as it was yesterday. we did have a cold front drop down that helped mix up the layer.

i'm kira klapper. meteorologist rob mayeda is in for vianey with a look at our microclimate forecast. it felt humid out there which is not very typical for us. >> to start out the morning with misty skies, near 60s is not too typical for us. it's a little muggy. san francisco, you have some mist there on the camera lens. not a lot of wind to start the day. san jose more overcast skies and, yes, with the clouds, morning low temperatures near 60 degrees. it's probably going to take a little while before they break up around the south bay. then get into the afternoon, see the clearing and our temperatures are going to stay relatively muggy probably through about mid morning. you'll notice it's still in the 70s by noon and then the skies start to clear and we get the sunshine. the areas in orange you see 80s showing up in the valleys today. the seven-day forecast moving forward as you're about to see the temperatures climbing wednesday and thursday. we're talking about a chance of 90s making a comeback. co

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana joins us with our forecast. >> good morning. it looks like the director and i both picked the same shot in san francisco because of the beautiful pink hues. it is about 55 degrees right now. it is definitely breezy and windy in some shots. we will continue to see it through the afternoon. we will keep that same trend into the weekend. temperatures 56 degrees in san jose. 55 in san francisco. now, today we are expecting dry conditions, even though we were seeing a change in the forecast. our temperatures are going to remain in the 70s. slightly cooler than even yesterday. areas of fog at times already visible over the coastline, but mostly 70 for the afternoon. pretty high in san jose. 68 for oakland. half-moon bay at about 58 degrees. as we head into tomorrow, we're tracking a chance of showers, but i will detail that at 7:00 a.m. >>> thanks so much. the california state attorney general will investigate the valleho police department's use of force. a 22-year-old was shot. people outraged saturday protesting the shooting. he dud
