i'm kira klapper. we are going to go to developing news right now in the north bay where a wildfire has forced evacuations in clear lake about 40 miles north of santa rosa. these flames ignited last night and burned about 15 acres so far. the crews battled the flames from the ground and from the air, and they have managed the fires from growing right now, and evacuations are in place. >>> this is time lapsed video from an alert camera, and you can see how much smoke went up in a matter of minutes. we spoke to people vacationing across from the fire, and they shared this video with us when they first saw the smoke in the sky. >> we looked out on the dock, and there was a huge cloud of smoke over there, and it was shocking, and pretty mellow trip up until this, and i have clearly not seen anything like this before. >> wow. can you imagine being on vacation and seeing this? let's check in with vianey arana. >> it is tough, because we have a lot of dry brush out there, and so when we do get the cooling, th

i'm kira klapper. shop in broad daylight. it happened on east 14th street this morning. this large bullet hole remains at the barbershop following the midday shooting. the owner of the hair salon next-door heard it all. she rushed to get her customers to safety in the back and called 911. police say two or three shots were fired inside the shot. a 13-year-old girl there with her mom was hit in the foot by bullet fragments. >> i saw her sitting there. i am just hoping nothing is fractured for life. >> the 13-year-old was treated at a hospital and is expected to be physically okay. the family and police do not know if the shooting was random or targeted. >>> san francisco general hospital says they do not have enough doses of the monkeypox vaccine as the city awaits a shipment of monkeypox vaccines. if you already have an appointment scheduled, you are good to go. they will not accept walk-in appointments. the city has requested 10,000 doses and has reported 344 cases, more than one third of them. >>> le

i'm kira klapper. meteorologist vianey arana joins us with a look at your microclimate forecast. lovely morning with the city behind you. >> nice skyline there, not a bad way to start our saturday. the temperatures right now comfortable, 50s and 60s to start. take a look at your temperature trend in san jose. we may be at 60 now, but we're going to warm up quickly, by as much as 20 degrees by 12:00. expect to climb into the 80s. outdoor activities, any sort of hiking or anything, get it done earlier in the day versus midday. that's when it is really going to get hot. dublin is at 58 degrees. notice, we bump up into the 80s. but here's a closer look at your headlines and some of the things i'll be going into further detail for my full forecast. hot valleys heading into the afternoon. we'll see the peak temperatures, especially for inland east bay. then heading into sunday funday, we're going to see a little cooler. that's going to help sort of clear us out heading into sunday night. by monday, we have an even bigger change. that is going to be the return of the heat. what does tha

i'm kira klapper. daylight shooting of an uber driver, and now the oakland woman who was engaged to that driver says she can breathe a little bit easier. we have video of the shooting. it is hard to watch. patrick kahn was killed in his car outside of his fiancÉ's home. he was waiting to make a food delivery. two men walked up, he refused to get out of the car, and that's when they shot and killed him. we spoke to his fiance, who wants to protect her identity. >> it's a heavy sentence and, you know, can be a comfort. >> a 19-year-old and a juvenile has been arrested in the fatal shooting of her fiance. the community raised more than $100,000 to help the family. the case isn't closed. police are looking for a getaway driver and a passenger. >>> happening today, police in the north bay are working to get more guns off the street. petaluma police will hold a gun buyback event from 9:00 this morning until 1:00 in the afternoon at the fairgrounds. you can exchange weapons for $100 or $200. the guns must be
