i'm kira klapper. meteorologist vianey arana joins us with a look at the microclimate forecast and that was promising. we have the clearing up top and we have the marine layer down below and i know folks want to know how the city temperatures are going to be looking because we have fleet week that's been happening and we will get some fog, across the coastline and your best viewing chance will be around the embarcadero and if v notice they'll be in the 60s. by 2:00, 3:00 we'll get sunshine peeking through and daytime highs today will be in the mid-60s and once we start heading into the evening for 5:00 hour, the temperatures will drop and we'll see the fog increase and the weather will be fantastic and we have some wind picking up for the afternoon and the full forecast coming up in just a few minutes. >> wye begin with breaking news this morning and police are investigating an early morning shooting near the campus of uc berkeley. it happened after 1:00 on telegraph and durant avenues. police still ha

i'm chris chmura in here for kira klapper on this sunday morning. thanks so much for joining us. meteorologist vianey arana is here this morning too with a look at your microclimate forecast. so fleet week's a big deal. carl stole the show yesterday. what do you think about today? >> that's one thing we've been monitoring, the timing of when they go up in the air, the blue jays and when the fog decides to make its exit. right now, we have that marine layer. and it is pretty deep. you can see the visibility, down to about a mile in santa rosa. down through half moon bay, three miles. but it's even managed to make its way down through portions of the south bay. take a look at san jose, six miles.

i'm kira klapper. meteorologist vianey arana joins us with a quick look at our microclimate forecast. it doesn't look so nice right now, but it sounds like we have a beautiful day ahead. >> it will feel more like fall, which is good. we were pretty warm to start. we are seeing the cloud cover, though, of course, and especially around the coastline. let's see how our temperatures are out the door. morgan hill 54, san martin 55, san francisco in those 50s, and if you take a look at the 24-hour temperature change, so not a lot of change just yet. you'll notice the cooling a little better into the afternoon, but you will notice some areas of fog. so this gray that you see here is that cloud cover. we're going to get some breaks in the sunshine by the afternoon, and let me just kind of give you an idea of what we're tracking into the next couple of hours. by 11:00, 12:00, comfortable 70s. so we'll be more seasonable, which means more normal for the month of october. and then we have just a couple of changes

i'm velena jones in for kira klapper. meteorologist rob mayeda is in for vianey arana this morning with a look at your microclimate forecast. rob, how is it looking? >> right now, we have a lot of the low clouds around san francisco and some of that into the santa clara valley right now, near san jose. cloudy start to the morning, low 60s outside, in the santa clara valley, and really not going to climb a whole lot today, combined with the sea breeze, the low clouds, high clouds for the afternoon, highs near downtown san jose in the upper 60s to near 70. so moving forward, 60s for most of the bay area, through 8:00 a.m. and look at the temperatures. even past lunchtime, we're hanging on to those mid-to-upper 60s inland, including the north bay valleys for your sunday afternoon, near 70 in livermore. low 70s out towards solano county, and kind of a cool finish to the weekend. coming up, seven-day forecast does have a warming trend and the chance of seeing a few showers, as we approach next weekend. a closer look at that an

i'm candice nguyen in for kira klapper. meteorologist vianey arana joins us now this morning with a look at your microclimate forecast. it was cold last night. i found myself reaching for a second blanket. >> oh, yeah. right now, we are already seeing some low 40s up through the north bay, beautiful view of emeryville. if you take a look, there are no clouds in site, but the temperatures right now, especially up through parts of the north bay, when you look at napa, 40 degrees. that's almost in the 30s. we have that cold system that kept our daytime highs cool, but the 24-hour temperature change, really significant, especially up through parts of napa, areas like concord and down through the south bay. now, we will continue to see those winds kicking up today, because of that system. and as we continue to monitor this, this is going to be gusty from the north-northeast. we're going to especially focus on the hills, because we've got a lot of dry brush out there. this will bring evaluated fire danger. >>> and pg&e is moving

i'm candice nguyen in for kira klapper. the mysterious african car is now gone. police dug up a mercedes buried on that $15 million estate. here's the video that shows video from our nbc sky ranger before and after that mercedes was pulled out of the ground. the car right now was at a crime lab being scoured for evidence. this video is from yesterday, when crews were still digging there. a former owner of the home, named john lew was believed to have been buried that car some 30 years ago after he reported it stolen in 1992. police still don't know why, though. cadaver dogs had mild hits when they sniffed that scene, indicating they might have smelled some sort of human remains. but so far, they have not found any. lew passed away in 2015. police say the current homeowners had no clue the car was buried there. >>> pg&e is moving forward with their planned power outages this morning to lower the risk of power lines sparking wildfire. here's a look on your screen at pg&e's planned outage map. they say they started some of those shutoffs just a half hour ago at 6:00
