my name is pastor kirk davis. i am a part of kiros fellowship in bayview-hunters point, and i want to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of this. let me start by saying one of my monikers, things that i say all the time, is life is a beautiful mess. come on, somebody say it with me. that life can be the most beautiful thing in the world, and sometimes maybe the most messiest, that life sometimes brings us the hard stuff. and some of us have been through hard things in the past year, and i just want to say that i am praying, we are praying, and we love you, and we are with you. so with that being said, we want to celebrate this beautiful, beautiful black history month with you. and so my job tonight is -- or this afternoon or this evening is to pray to just get us started on the right foot. so come with me, pray with me. i know some of you might have different belief systems, different ways of thinking about god. i grew up in baptist church. just walk with me through this part, and i ask that you would pray
