klein and there is no link between dr. klein and dr. murray. murray's office was recently searched as part of the investigation. and now straight out to ted rowland, cnn correspondent. ted, you are breaking this news for the network cnn and hln. what are you able to confirm tonight? >> basically, jean, we're talking about the connection between dr. conrad murray and this powerful anesthetic di pri van or propofol. basically, used in clinics and hospitals to put patients down for usually minor surgical procedures. it's actually a very common drug. but it's not common outside of a hospital setting. and what we're reporting is that a source with knowledge of the investigation -- this is someone close to the family -- says that dr. conrad murray did indeed administer this drug to michael jackson within 24 hours of his death. that's what we're reporting tonight. >> all right, ted, is your source defining for you the word administered? because i think that's a very important word here. >> no. and it is very important. other things that will be very i

arnold klein. and then we heard the stories back in the early '90s that he had checked himself into rehab for different places. on the one hand he's denying it but on the other hand he's seeking help? help us understand that. >> that's what makes this disease so complicated. a lot of people go for help to detox. but detox is different from recovery. basically, i look at it almost like a pizza pie. you've got your crust, and you've got the inside of it. the inside of it is the cheese. it's whether you're using drugs or you're not using drugs. the crust is all of the behaviors associated with drug use, the lying, the denial, the manipulation. the putting one over on people. the checking out. all of that stuff needs to be repaired in recovery in addition to being detox. so what happens with a lot of people that are addicts is they'll go, they'll get detoxed almost like going in to get your car serviced, they check in, get detoxed, check out, and they don't spend the time to actually engage in recovery

arnold klein is on that list. he told larry king last week that he's he has not been questioned but late today, a swarm, and i mean a swarm of media descended on dr. klein's office in beverly hills, apparently the assistant coroner who's also the chief investigator for the coroner's office was there to pick up records related to dr. klein's treatment of michael jackson. we know jackson was at dr. klein's office a few days before his death. klein said he danced for the other patients, he looked healthy. but ed winter the assistant coroner spoke when he left dr. klein's office. take a lis. >> and still conducting our investigation. there is a security hold on the case and i can't comment. >> are you looking at medication as well? >> no, no, just we're looking at some documentation that dr. klein's agreed to provide to us. >> medical records of michael jackson? >> yes. >> say a thing about the toxicology report? >> no, we hope to have the findings probably in the middle of this next week. >> how many medical records
