the murals on this wall, since we're facing this way, william blackstone's kmenitaries, it's a unique one. you see this figure of blackston s sitting and looking at you from the bench. and then lined up behind them are hymenest thinking. and then at the very top viola painted a portrait of herself in that. most people don't see that. she asked a librarian for the history of law and he said there wasn't one. and she said well, i'll have to write one. so she basically wrote one through her paintings and go through different law, pennsylvania law, u.s. law and then world law. it's a really original work she has depicted here. the capitol preservation's role is to actually care for the fine, decorative arts, the historic and architectural arts of the building. our goal is to really protect the 640 room, the historic fabric, any of the artwork or architecture. that's the type of stuff we deal with. so historic furniture, the clocks, historic civil war flags, you name it. we're a little bit varied in what we do. it's one of just a few that are as ornate as it is. and we take great pride in
