evacuation orders now lifted in east contra costa county after a grass fire yesterday in the community of knightsen5 acres burned, one home was in danger as planes were pushed by strong winds. no injuries reported, but firefighters are still trying to contain it. there were two other grass fires in the same area in the last month. the investigation continues. a man from san jose received what he called a very surprising notice from the city, accusing him of setting up fireworks on the fourth of july. charlie murray said he was disappointed so many people were setting off fireworks. his dog was scared but he didn't call the police. a few days later he received a notice from the city. >> i understand that we are starting to try and stop illegal fireworks but they also need a system who targets who is actually doing it. and not waste time of people who haven't done it. >> they say received 6100 complaints about fireworks this year. 94 warnings and five citations were issued. he says he is the only person in his neighborhood to receive a warning. he has tried using the cities process of appealing the n

deputies are recovering this morning, hurt in a deadly overnight shoot-out with a barricaded suspect in knightsen near brentwood. officials say it started when a woman said she was being held hostage. a s.w.a.t. team was called in just before 1:00 in the afternoon. at 9:00 in the evening officials say the suspect came out, firing a shotgun at members of the s.w.a.t. team. three of the s.w.a.t. team members were hit. the deputies did return fire at the man who was then pronounced dead at the scene. two of the three deputies were sent to the hospital for their injuries. >>> and developing now a disturbing discovery in the south bay. human remains found on some farmland in south san jose. santa clara county sheriff's deputies say human bones were found near a tent or homeless encampment. investigators have not been able to figure out whether the remains are those of a woman or a man. crime scene investigators spent a couple hours collecting evidence yesterday. the sheriff's department says this is an ongoing investigation. >>> overnight california marked a new milestone in this pandemic. confirmed c
