as ko im reports, confidents are scrambling -- experts are scrambling to determine the source of the reporter: royal caribbean cut their cruise short for principal 3000 passengers -- approximately 3000 passengers after hundreds got sick. one person tweeted all aboard the fun ship, yep, i'm sick. passengers say inspectors in the u.s. centers for disease control and prevention boarded the ship in the u.s. virgin islands to try to diagnose the problem. since the outbreak, crews have been disinfecting everything to try and stop the bug from spreading. >> they're wiping everything down. wiping down the rails, the sheets, the lounge chairs, everything. >> reporter: health experts think the gastrointestinal illness could be the common but highly contagious and fast spreading norovirus. >> typically it can be spread from person to person and also from contaminated surfaces, the virus can liver on surfaces unless you decontaminate them. >> reporter: those affected by the short lived illness have responded well to over-the- counter medication being administered on board the ship. passengers ar
