when it comes to hong kong, with the news that pershing founder bill is betting against the hong kongt's not the first time we have had a u.s. money manager taking a potshot at at the hong kong dollar. he believes the peg is going to break, how likely is that in your experience? you have charted this. >> there is good reason to think there will be pressure on hong kong because of the pandemic. the economy is expected to shrink 3% this year. because of that, interest rates are going up because the u.s. is increasing rates, and hong kong needs to be in line with the fed. he tried to bet against the peg back in 2011. that didn't work out. george soros tried to bet against the peg back in the late 90's after the asian financial crisis. he didn't win. other american fund managers have lost money, too. if hong kong was to keep the peg, and there is plenty of reason to do that, they want to keep the market open for chinese companies that want to raise a company -- currency that they can convert into u.s. dollars in easy fashion. then they have the ammo, 4 billion in reserves to defend that.
