that includes lower lake high school, lower lake elementary, konocti education center, burns valley elementaryand eastlake elementary. >> the clayton fire is burning in a region that has been hard hit by fires in recent years. as can you see from a map we are going to pull up, it is burning near where the rocky fire broke out last year on june 29. that burned 70,000 acres and destroyed 43 homes. 53 out buildings before that merged with the jerusalem fire. the cause of that fire was determined to be a faulty gas- powered water heater. then weeks later the valley fire broke out as well. >> before it was fully contained, that valley fire burned more than 76,000 acres. it killed four people. it destroyed nearly 2,000 buildings. at least half of those homes, according to calfire, it was the third worst fire in state history based on the number of structures that burned last week. calfire announced that faulty wiring of a hot tub installation was the cause of that fire. they still say too early to tell on the cause of this current fire. but certainly we will be getting more of that. >> one of the bi
