you see the batch of cloud cover extending out of the korean peninsula and moving in the northern and western portions of japan. it's a cold front bringing rainfall and cloud cover as we progress into the overnight period and also on the day wednesday. behind this system, we'll have cold air wrapping around so temperatures drop off. we see above normal temperatures as we go throughout the day wednesday, and by thursday, temperatures are closer to average for daytime highs. so, as we transition throughout the day wednesday, fukuoka has rain then sunnier day with a high of 20 degrees, rain in osaka and a high of 23, tokyo and sapporo, more rainfall as the front takes longer to get out of this region, and when we transition into thursday, there's more sunshine, but, again, much cooler temperatures. now, further towards the west, high pressure is controlling the weather over china, and that's extending into the korean peninsula, and because of the northerly winds coming in, that's going to help bring down the temperatures. the high around 14 degrees as we go throughout the day wednesday.

chilly weather is happening over in the korean peninsula, and, in fact, in seoul, we had single digitows as we woke up on thursday morning in that area. and so now we are only expecting a high of 10 coming up on friday. that definitely means bundle up. that instability brings plenty of rainfall in southeastern china so have that umbrella handy. the forecast in south america, we were talking about flooding issues in the southern portions of the continent as these storms flair up. i want to take you over into chile where the aftermath of what took place of heavy rainfall transitioned into something much more beautiful. i want to show you the flowers now blossoming in the desert where the desert is turning into a wonder land. this is coming after the heaviest rain in 20 years. unfortunately, that takes the lives of 28 people. now we're seeing these flowers coming in what's usually a very dry area is bringing that nice scent to the region. this is something that happens every five to seven years with the flowers, but according to those in the area, this has been unique for the past 18 yea
