i have to say that some were south koreans trying to convince us they were never part of the north korean army, but were having a hard time doing so. we do not have the personnel to man that. when you have so many people, you have to turn it over to the prisoners themselves. so, we put them in charge then, meaning non-communist. right away a whole bunch of prisoners we captured say they do not want to go back to north korea or china. can we make them go back in the climate of the early cold war where we are trying to win in ideological battle against communism? would that look good for truman, forcing people back to a communist regime that do not want to go there? it would not look good. so, we put people in charge. so, what the chinese do, they will send operatives to be captured -- communist operatives -- who will work in the camps to build up communist forces and they start killing each other. the communist's and non-communists. when it gets down to the time -- we have already announced, we will not accept anyone saying they are not communist. the reason we do that, the chinese say, we
