it's our live kpix weather camera. do you see it right there? that is a return of the marine layer. it is just off the coast trying to penetrate the bay. and boy, did it make the numbers crash and burn at the beaches today and into the bay in fact san francisco was 15 degrees cooler than yesterday but livermore only 5 degrees cooler wel -- well inland. san jose down to 75 degrees today. tonight bottoming out in the 40s and 50s across the board. a bit breezy out there. we have this ridge of high pressure flatter today sort of stays status quo for you tomorrow until this area of low pressure enhances our marine layer. then we'll begin to see some notable changes by friday and until then, take a look at our futurecast. the low clouds and patchy fog plays tag with the beaches and into the bay begins to retreat by the lunch hour hangs tight to the inverness area, a few high clouds overhead. number-wise, 60s beaches, 60s, 70s across the bay. outside number going with 80 degrees in livermore but just slightly warmer than that
