and here's the latest on the kpix 5 hi-def doppler. things have mostly dried up for the time being but there is more on the way. we'll bring in the radar so you can get a closer view of the bay area. you can see there's just, you know, some -- some of that rain that's translating up into snow showers in the sierra nevada and as a result, they are getting snow down to about 6,000 feet. and right here, you can see just a trace amount offshore from central california. down there in monterey bay area just a few scattered showers. the sum total hasn't been terrifically impressive but it's just the beginning of the storm door opening. they got .7" in san jose but just .07" in the city. in the santa cruz mountains, at ben lomond about 1.5". north bay quarter inin santa rosa 2/3 in saint helena. there is more rain on the way between now and wednesday including a fairly powerful system tuesday and more rain tomorrow. same time, remember, you can get weather updates on your mobile device with the cbs weather app that includes radar to show you r
