we are on storm watch here at kpix 5. and one area already taking action, maria medina in morgan hill. >> reporter: good morning, roberta. we just spoke to a man a few minutes ago and he said he is cutting his vacation one day short because there is an order here at the thousand oaks campground behind me to get out by 5 p.m. a lot of people live here as full-timers and they are no strangers to flooding. this was the scene just last year captured on cell phone video by a woman who lived here after heavy rain rains caused the uvas reservoir to spill over into the uvas river which runs through the thousand trails campground. it runs under a bridge that's the only way in and out of the campground. they were told to suddenly evacuate and they were only given minutes to get out. >> we just thought about get over that bridge and then we'll figure it out later. >> we'll lose our trailer and everything inside it. kpix 5 is live with complete coverage of the storm's impact. jackie ward is in napa county which has already seen flooding this morning and anne makovec is in pacifica where the wind is really picking up along the coast. but first, roberta is tracking the storm. >>> we are on storm watch right here on kpix 5. let's get to it. let's go ahead and start talking about the rivers that in a dire situation at this particular time. saint helena the napa river is anticipated to overflow its banks reaching 18.4 feet by later on tonight. there will be widespread crop damage. the napa river in napa. we are also anticipating this to reach 25.1 which means secondary road will be flooded and crops will be flooded. the russian river has overflowed, moderate to significant flooding in the area tomorrow. we are already seeing some moderate flooding near brookside, that's the resort in that area. parkers resort, as well. live hi-def doppler radar indicates it is raining and in some areas, some moderate downpours right there santa rosa through calistoga into winds

we have the kpix high-def doppler up and running. it seems as if for no reason, no echoes appear but we just have to look elsewhere. there it is, off cape mendocino. first indication the next in a series of storms on the way to the bay area deceptively clear. a nice day as we head towards marin county. nurse still on the chilly side -- numbers still on the chilly side as we head past noon. it's 47 degrees, 44 in livermore and 50 in san jose. a chilly tuesday underway but dry. not for long as that jet stream punches through, the high pressure that's been offshore sends a stream of moisture towards the bay area. these storms are fast moving. they're not going to dump as much rain as the pineapple express that michelle was opining about a moment ago. nevertheless it will get wet. let's set it out. tonight by 7 you can see the first faint echoes beginning to appear off of lake and sonoma counties. and then watch this. by tomorrow evening, ham, that front is up there in the north bay at 6:00 just in time for the evening commute and lighte

we do have kpix 5 hi-def doppler radar up and running this early wednesday morning.nd here's how it looks on the time lapse. midnight not much. this storm now approaching and at 2 and 4 and then look at that development up to air time. you can see a fairly good cell that will be moving in over the peninsula and that looks like it means almost unrelenting rain, right? but it won't. this is just an initial band that's coming in. it will blow through and then we'll get a little bit of a break mid-morning before the brunt of the front comes through later in the day. but you can see that by rio vista over the delta, which had flood warnings for the all the delta islands that were just lifted a couple of days ago, they are getting pounded this morning too but briefly. the winds pick up. we'll have south winds from 30 to 45 miles an hour. all this will be later in the day. a top gust of 60 miles an hour so that means that power lines could come down, trees could come down, same old thing with the saturated soil. right now the numbers are off to a chilly start. mid-40s for t
