kpix 5's cate caugiran live in san jose with this video evidence. cate. >> reporter: well, veronica, an employee at this arco station behind me told me it was his coworker's smart thinking that may have helped police catch the three suspects related to crimes in the san jose milpitas area. san jose police call the trio geisha dolls because of the signature masks they wear. and in this video we see the suspects come in armed with a handgun and point it directly at the store clerk. they have been tied to 12 robberies between october and january, liquor stores, gas stations, markets. the most recent happened at this arco on capitol avenue where one employee said his coworker followed the robber after they fled. >> took a picture of the car of therobber and after that back to the office and call police. >> reporter: frank says his coworker's photo shows the getaway car's license plate and that was the break that police needed to track down one suspect at his home. two weeks later police arrested two other suspects. all were minors. live in san jose, cat

kpix 5's anne makovec is live to tell us more about a possible motive. anne. >> reporter: yeah. the parking lot pretty empty right now at 5 a.m. but imagine how crowded it was on sunday at 6:00. that is when this went down. and here is the surveillance video. the suspect about 5 feet tall possibly a teenager wearing a t- shirt with a batman logo. investigators say she was angry when she left the walmart store because she wasn't allowed to return batteries. she got into her car and backed up quickly and crashed into a family of five knocking down a 3-year-old girl in the process with. and that's when police say she got even more enraged. check out what happened next. she peeled out of her parking space into that family again. >> the mother picked up the daughter, moved away. as soon as she was able to pick her up, the female gunned it again and backed up in that direction. had the child been there, it probably would have been hit. >> reporter: the 3-year-old and mother are okay with minor injuries treated at the scene. here's the driver's picture again. she is an underaged driver

kpix 5 reporter anne makovec is live in oakland with the latest. >> reporter: the streets are still shut down near the scene, but the new news this morning, very disturbing, a fourth person has been found dead inside of the building here behind me. the person was found on the top floor, they went in with cadaver dogs and drones to try to find this person after they knew that somebody was missing. in the meantime, the investigation into how this fire started continues. city records show oakland fire inspectors notified the building's owner three days before the fire. this apartment building on san pablo had several violations including the fire alarm system, the sprinkler system, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. people were trapped in their home as flames consumed the building yesterday morning. in desperation, some type blankets together to climb down from their windows. the building housed transitional living group and a community center. >> when you house those types of residents you get city from the county. >> reporter: attorney james cook is representing the tenants who say t

kpix 5's kiet do is live along bear creek road near highway 17. kiet?> reporter: yeah, this particular area is known as sigh anty creek. they have been getting slammed this winter. however, we have had a whole week of dry sunny weather so we decided to go up there and see how the repairs are going. mother nature has given highway 35 in the santa cruz mountains a beat-down like no other. >> it looks very dangerous. >> reporter: the worst section is east of castle rock state park where a scheid sheared off a 50-foot tree. the mud wiped out everything. the damaged section is so steep the repairs so complicated, caltrans has no estimate on when it will be fixed. >> huge [ indiscernible ] that pulled the spirit into the danger is definitely in mind. >> reporter: on bear creek road a mile and a half west of highway 35, crews are working 24/:to rebuild a portion of the road that was eaten away by the storms. they are using metal cages filled with boulders to shore up the foundation and widen the road back to two lanes. once they are done here, another section
