live in marin county, emily turner, kpix 5 . >> reporter: i am kiet do live near los gatos. they say predicting mudslides is difficult if not impossible and case in point is hicks road which was slammed by the mudslide at 1 pm yesterday, in advance of the atmospheric river hitting us right now. part of this steep hillside gateway yesterday on hicks 300 feet just past the present robust several hundred tons of boulders and dirt blocking the road. this happened three days after that most recent storm that hit us over the weekend. we caught up with marianne, flooded out a month ago after the nearby creek clogged up with debris sending feet of water rushing into your home. four weeks later she is worried it could happen again any moment. the sandbags are still in place at their home and her husband checks the storm drains every day. >> he tweeted every morning and he cleans it before dark. >> reporter: this is a sign of things to come and it hit well before the atmospheric river began raining down on us now. this has closed eight six and half-mile straight of its road from pheas
