kraft fell 5.5% after trading at a new high yesterday. this was the biggest percentage decliner among dow industrial stocks. meantime, a company kraft counts on to sell a lot of its products. grocery store operator kroger turned in quarterly earnings two cents better than expected. revenues were slightly disappointing but its margins were better-- a positive sign in the highly competitive grocery business. kroger also raised its full year forecast, due in part to the impact of stock buybacks. shares fell 1.6% on heavy volume. itunes may not be enough for apple. according to the "wall street journal," apple is considering launching its own interest radio service. the speculation is an apple radio business would mean big competition for pandora. one of the most popular way users access their pandora service is through apple's iphones and ipads, setting up the potential of a significant threat. >> many people buy mp3 and digital, and they say we're going to take over the online radio space, than pandora has to watch out. if you have an iphon

friday when it was announced kraft would be leaving the dow jones industrial average.hares were up 1.8% today, closing about $2 below where they were before the dow jones exit announcement. shares have been climbing as it prepares to split into two separate companies next month. the lower earnings outlook from fedex that erika reported on earlier was felt throughout the transportation sector, and a drop in oil prices couldn't help. air carriers delta and united continental fell. delta was down 2.9%, united shed 2.3%. railroad kansas city southern was down 1.8%. k.s.u. may be seeing some profit-taking after hitting an all time high on friday. two companies struggling against apple's iphone and google's android smartphone software are teaming up. microsoft and research in motion announced a licensing deal today. it covers a specific microsoft technology, allowing some blackberry devices to handle certain types of larger sized files at higher speeds. >> this is a win for rim in the sense that the product will be a little bit better. but i've never heard anyone say, "wow,

meanwhile in the markets, kraft out, united health group in. for the first time in 3 years, there is a new name among the 30 dow industrials. at the close of business this friday, kraft foods, which is spinning off its north american grocery business, will be replaced by united health. kraft will be renamed mondelez international after the spin off. the s&p dow jones committee that decides which companies can join the dow apparently felt the new company's market capitalization and smaller u.s.-generated revenue made it less suitable for the dow average. iphone 5 fever is raging. so get this. at 3 a.m. eastern friday, pre-order sales began. order volume was huge. within an hour, the phone was sold out. at first apple was promising delivery by this friday, but a short time later the delivery date was pushed back a week. everybody figured insane demand, but this may be off the charts for what even apple was expecting. this is by far the largest, fastest iphone debut. in fact, the iphone may even give apple's revamped ipad, expected later this fall

starting with kraft, replaced ag in 2010 and replaced the stock it replaced. aig taken out during the height of the financial crisis and bank of america which replaced ultia ahead of the financial crisis. it, too, has underperformed the stock that it replaced, down 78% compared to the 52% gain for ultia which, of course, is the former philip morris. tech stocks, a number of them were added to the dow in november of 1999. you might recall right before the tech bubble burst, microsoft and intel both added to the dow underperforming one. stocks they replaced that. being chevron which was taken out of the dow and put back in in february of 2008. but outperforming goodyear, another stock and cisco another tech addition, down just about 4%, but one stock that has outperformed the stock it replaced, travelers. up 57% since added in june of 2009, outperforming its former parent, which is down 2%. maria. back to you. >> all right, mary. thanks so much. keep it right here. won't want to miss one beat of what's headed your way in this busy tgi at this edition of the "clo

let's look at kraft foods.espite promises of kraft of long-term earnings per share growth for their soon to be spun off north american grocery unit, yesterday kraft gain a downbeat outlook, right? for the snack food named -- >> whatever. i'm still stuck on that name. it doesn't have a certain ring to it. it's interesting. when the company talking about this sort of lower than expected expectations and mentioned price increases wouldn't be what they were and it's an interesting aspect and tells you more about the economy and going out further on this. >> priceline, as well. moving higher today on the back of an upgrade from neutral to buy. $740 price target. already at $620. basically saying that priceline continue to expand the reach across the globe in the coming quarters. what do you make of the stock? >> this was off $750 before it started to have a number of big, you know, off the cliff moves because it shows you what happens and tells you more about this market. i have never gotten in the priceline story.
