ktvu channel 2 reporter kraig debro now in marin county where that storm is expected to hit first. it looks already wet, kraig. >> reporter: yeah, it's pouring already. i'm almost authoritily soaked right now. flood warnings all over the bay area as far inland as benicia. right now we're on lucky drive along highway 101 northbound. typically this area floods out, you can see cars traveling northbound water already starting to pond on the highway. warning to drivers out there go slow out there. the water's already caused a problem in the east bay. combination of heavy rain and debris caused highway 880 overnight to flood. chp says it got a call about flooding southbound just before the marina boulevard exit on 880 southbound around 1:40 in the morning. they even have report of a car spinning out or hydroplaning. when they got there they didn't find the car but found the problem, three clogged drains. i'm calling in the two drains. cal trans was and the water receded. crews had to bring in a snake, a plumbing tool, to get the junk out of the third drain. >> the third drain's got like

ktvu's kraig debro is in mountain view this morning where as much as 15 feet of land has already crumbled into a creek. good morning, kraig. >> reporter: good morning, pam. the homes we're talking about are located way in the back of the mobile home park. the backyards are gone and at least one neighbor thinks the homes are daer too. >> homes are on the precipice there sliding into the creek. >> reporter: the creek is located directly behind the mobile home park where three of the mobile homes are now in danger. according to residents the creek rose 15 feet during the worst of the winter/spring storms we had last week on thens of the seasons. it saturated the soil underneath the homes and the soil came down with the creek. >> little concerned for our own safety. but calling property management they didn't seem to think we were in immediate danger right now. >> reporter: ktvu received information from the santa clara valley water district saying seven years ago they asked for help to prevent erosion but the district refused because the creek is on private property. now at least one of the

ktvu kraig debro joins us now from vacaville. tell us what happened. >> reporter: i just spoke to the city of vacaville information officer. i learned new information about this case. the newspaper might not have belonged to the man that was injured. we are on the 900 block of ashville. investigators will circle things or place plaquers near pieces of evidence. over on the front yard there is a hole in the ground where the explosion happened yesterday. according to people that lived on the street the explosion might have killed a smaller person. this happened at 10:20 yesterday morning when a man went out to pick up a newspaper. now the newspaper he picked up was in the yard next door to where he lives. so it's not clear if he was picking up his newspaper. shortly after he picked it up there was an explosion according to witnesses at the scene. some of the mans fingers might have been blown off. the atn the bomb squad and travis air force base investigating. they evacuated a number of homes. once they found out there were no expl
