>> reporter: good morning to you, kris. we just spoke with the ufrlt of california police and they tell us they've been expecting around 200 people to protest this morning's public uc regents meeting that is taking place behind me here at the ucsf mission bay campus. you can see out front there is security. those are officers along -- who are checking ids for people who come out here and there is even more officers inside. but so far none of those people, those protesters, have shown up. this is not like what we've seen in years past when protesters have disrupted the regents meeting when they were about to vote for tuition hikes. the protesters' beef has been with administrators in their eyes make too much money, that students shouldn't have to pay more. this morning the regents are set to vote on raising the tuition for in-state students by $336. that would bring the tuition for uc students in state to $12,630 plus fees and about a third of this proposed increase would go towards financial aid. the rest to improve student
