good morning. >> reporter: that's right, good morning, kris.city leaders of san bruno want the one that's greater of course, $1.6 billion. for the city leaders this has been a culmination, this is a culmination of a four and a half year fight at the california public utilities commission building. either way pg&e faces a record-setting fine either $1.4 billion or $1.6 billion. the commission president himself, michael picker, proposed adding $200 million to what judges came up with last year, his plan would cut the pooeng shareholders payment into the state's general fund from around $950 million to $300 million but $850 million going directly to pipeline safety improvements in addition to $400 million that would be a refund to rate payers in the form of a one-time bill credit as well as $50 million to implement more than 75 safety upgrades. on top of the money, san bruno mayor relationship ruane says there needs to be additional safety improvements including a pipeline safety trust as well as independent monitor to ensure more oversight. pg&e

reporter kris van cleave has a live report from boston on this guilty verdict. kris. >> reporter: jurors distributed for less than 12 hours finding the defendant dzhokhar tsarnaev guilty on all 30 counts relating to the boston marathon bombings and the violence that followed. a jury convicted dzhokhar tsarnaev for the bombing attack at the 2013 boston marathon that killed 3 and injured more than 260 as well as the violence that followed. jurors reached their verdict after the federal judge answered questions about two legal concepts that went to the heart of the case, conspiracy and aiding and abetting. johar then 19 helped his 26- year-old brother tamerlan detonate two bombs near the marathon finish line. the attack killed an 18-year- old, a 23-year-old and a 29- year-old. more than 260 others injured. four days later the brothers killed a cop and carjacked an suv leading to a shootout with police in watertown. tamerlan died in the gunfight. police found dzhokhar tsarnaev hiding in a dry dock boat. it's described as a cold act that was intentional and blood thi
