so, kris, tell us more about this. well good morning to you, marcus and laura. at this point it is not clear why those san francisco police officers were pursuing that suspect, only that the pursuit did not end the way that it was supposed to. this was the scene around four this morning. and you can see that sfpd patrol car along with that white car, they crashed. the white car is the suspect vehicle. they also hit a residence. and there were people inside at the time. fortunately, no one inside was hurt. this was at the corner of san bruno avenue and paul avenue. what we know right now is that at least two officers and the suspect suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. all three appear to be okay. police have not told us why they were pursuing that suspect at this point. but i looked up the department. policy and pursuits are only allowed if officers have reasonable suspicion or probable cause that a felony or misdemeanor has occurred, is occurring, or is about to occur. now we have a crew headed to the scene. we'll bring you more details

today in the bay's kris sanchez in our newsroom this morning with more on this. so, chris, do we know what happened here? you know, it's not clear at this point why those san francisco police officers were pursuing that suspect, only that that pursuit did not end the way that it was supposed to. this was the scene around four this morning. you can see the san francisco police patrol car where it crashed into that building. you see that white car? that was the suspect vehicle. they also crashed into each other and hit that residence with people inside. at the time, this was at the corner of san bruno avenue and paul avenue. what we know right now is that at least two officers and the suspect suffered minor injuries. they were taken to the hospital by ambulance. they are going to be okay. police have not told us why they were pursuing that suspect. but i did look up the department policy for you. and pursuits are only allowed if officers have reasonable suspicion or probable cause, that a felony or violent misdemeanor has occurred, is occurring, or is about to occu
