kris brown joining us now. kris, i first want to get your reaction. >> i'm horrified. i mean, i'm a mother, an advocate for public safety, for gun violence prevention, and we were reeling after the last mass shooting where black americans were gunned down grocery shopping, and before that, another mass shooting, and before that another mass shooting, and before that mother mass shooting, and this year alone we have had a 50% increase in these kinds of assaults across the country. and the question that i'm asking, like so many americans is, when will we say enough is enough, and when will our congress act, because it's not up to us as everyday americans. we're unified across the country in the belief that we want to make our communities more safe. >> and where is the common ground when it comes to taking action on mass shootings in this country? is there even any common ground? >> there's huge common ground. all americans want to feel safe. the common ground is we want to feel safe in our communities, in our neighborhoods, at schools, in public places across this countr
