thanks so much for joining us on this thursday midday i'm kris sanchez. laura garcia is off and i'm marcus washington. we start this hour with breaking news out of butte county. this is where that fast moving park fire is forcing hundreds of people from their homes. now, we do know that some of those families, they won't have much to return to. and this is the reason why this overnight video of that explosion, likely involving a propane tank and an already engulfed home. this does not look like the only structure destroyed in that neighborhood, which is about five miles north of chico. the park fire only started around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, and by 730 this morning, some 16 hours later, more than 45,000 acres of burned that fire. only 3% contained at this hour. now we do know evacuation orders are in effect for some communities there, including richardson springs, forest ranch and cohasset. adding to that trauma, it's just 16 miles from the town of paradise. this was the town decimated by a fire back in 2018. meanwhile this is a time lapse video of whe
