i'm kristen berset live at congressional country club. back to you in the studio. >> thank you very much, kristen. >>> republican presidential candidate mitt romney is going to be in sterling, virginia for a rally later today. romney campaigned nierro smoke yesterday, -- near roanoke yesterday but this afternoon he'll stop by the eit technology company in sterling, virginia. romney and president obama are preparing to respond to tomorrow's supreme court ruling on health care. president obama defended his reform plan yesterday when he spoke to voters in florida. >> i believe it was right to make sure that everybody in this country gets decent health care and does not -- is not bankrupt when they get sick. >> i'm going to get rid of the cloud of obama care and return us to personal responsibility and states' rights as it relates to health care. >> romney went on to say that the president's health care plan is also making the economy sick. however, a "wall street journal" poll shows americans see romney's business background as a negative. ov

kristen berset joins us now on more on these championship changes. kristen, what is the new deal? >> well, derek, you know, the current bowl championship series has been a controversial one since its inception in 1998, relying on poll ranks and computer formulas to decide who plays for a national title. not anymore. starting the 2014-15 season, ncaa football will implement a four-team playoff system. it's the first time in d1 history this has been done. that means two semi final playoff games and a final game with the national championship. those teams will be selected by a committee. but the new plan doesn't do away with the tradition of the current bowl system. the oversite committee says this decision should appease those on both sides of the issue. >> it's a best of both worlds result. it captures the excitement of a playoff while protecting the best regular seasons and sports i think is a consensus built on compromise. i think they've done a terrific thing in bringing us to a milestone that is good for college football generally speaking and certainly for the acc. >> now, it

kristen berset is here with the allegations. >> lance armstrong is no stranger to these allegations. he's been fighting them for over a decade. a two year investigation to alleged doping was dropped just four months ago. now the u.s. anti-doping agency has formal charges of their own. the us ada claims armstrong and five of his teammates used blood boosters and other drug enhancing drugs. they can't file criminal charges, but they could strip him of his seven tour de france titles. he's already been banned from competing in triathlons. in an interview, armstrong's former teammate tyler hamilton details what he saw lance armstrong do. >> he took what we all took. really no difference between lance armstrong and the majority of us. there was cpo. there was testosterone. and i did see a blood transfusion. >> now, armstrong maintained his innocence then and with these new charges saying in a statement i have never doped and unlike many of my accusers, i have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed 500 drug tests and never failed one. >> all righ

kristen berset is live with the guys. hey kristen, good to see you. >> reporter: good to see you guys. yeah, weather is cooperating a lot better today than it was yesterday for what turns out to be the final day of minicamp. i fully expected to be in the same spot tomorrow. minicamp doesn't officially end until tomorrow, mike shanahan told his guys they aren't going to hit the field. they are going to come in in the morning, get a workout, and watch them film. that's it. five week vacation will start a little early. mike shanahan said his team has been working hard these last several weeks, but they are banged up. he wants them to get some rest. that means all the training and the practice is all on their shoulders right now. they have five weeks off until training camp starts. shanahan feels like everyone, especially the new guys, have a good understanding of everything they've done the last several weeks. >> getting to learn the system. the last four weeks with two weeks and three days with the ota's and this week with

kristen berset is there and surely you'll be talking about our quarterback. >> reporter: how did you guess, guys? you guys are good. the weather is nice out here right now, but of course we did have to go in the bubble today. you know, the majority of the team has been here the last three weeks with organized team activities. this week's minicamp is the first and last mandatory practice for the entire team before training camp at the end of july. now mike shanahan said these practices would run a lot like ota's, which means no pads, no tackling. but rg3 still looking impressive. still looking more and more comfortable every time we see him. but like i said, no tackling. so, he really hasn't had to go up against nfl linebackers in a game-like situation quite yet. we have seen him be fearless in practice. he has had a lot of rushing touchdowns. he says that's not going to change come game day. there one thing i want to do is play with fear. you have to continue to play fearless. especially in college guys, they try to take you out. guys are a lot better at doing what they are trying to

surae chinn is at redskins park with reaction, but first kristen berset has details on the deal itself. >> the state of maryland and the district have been trying to entice the redskins to move their training facility to their respective areas, but virginia offered something the team couldn't refuse. the redskins will get money from both state and loudoun county to stay in the commonwealth. starting next summer the team will open training camp in richmond, but their main headquarters and year-round facility will stay in ashburn. they'll get $30 million to expand and renovate that facility. the move will allow players to focus more on practice and prepping for the season by separating them from the distractions of family life at home. regarding the move virginia governor mcdonnell said today virginia considers the redskins our team. the team is based here and trains here, the players live here. virginia is committed to keeping the redskins here in our state for years to come and today we've taken significant steps towards accomplishing that goal. now the redskins have held their two a d
