kristen dahlgren is live from chicago's o'hare international airport. friends over at the weather channel call o'hare one of the worst airports in the nation for weather delays which of course has a ripple effect everywhere. how are things going so far today. >> reporter: so far so good. it's estimated about 1.8 million americans will be passing through chicago o'hare this week, so as you said if there are delays here, it could cause a ripple throughout the system, even if chicago isn't your final destination, chances are you'll be passing through here if you're traveling. take a look behind me and you can see things moving really smoothly in security. we also haven't seen anybody making a real visible protest to the body scanning machines. of course there's been a loosely organized opt-out day. organizers pushing people to opt out of going through the body scan machines, instead forcing the tsa to do the more invasive patdowns, which does take more time. there was this fear that because it would slow town the system, perhaps it would cause some people
