kristen fisher is standing by in baltimore. first, to matt finn in bridgeport, connecticut where donald trump is rallying his fans. >> reporter: good afternoon. here in bridgeport about 1,000 people have shown up as we saw the video, a very lively crowd in the waterbury event we just came from. several thousand people showed up, a few hundred did not make it inside. in typical donald trump fashion, a very strong turnout. people from coast to coast lined up before the sun comes up for these events and that's no different here in connecticut. as far as protesters, we have only seen a handful at each location this morning. we have not seen that strong organized turnout of protesters here in connecticut like we have seen in other nearby states in new york. it is a nice saturday afternoon so you would think it would be prime time for people to be on the streets. just not happening here for whatever reason. just this morning, the video donald trump released a video saying he will work with the establishment but it's not going to cont

kristen fisher is live following the late jest on the campaign trail. ten, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, abby. for the second day in a row there's a new poll out giving trump a double digit lead. trump is at 54%, kasich 21 and ted cruz at 18. this poll also asks republican primary voters in new york what should happen if trump wins the most delegates but falls short of the 1237 number that's needed to clinch the nomination. turns out an overwhelming number, 64% say in that case trump should still get the nomination. only 28% said that it should go to someone else. last night trump had a huge rally in albany, new york. about 10,000 people were there. trump was interrupted multiple times by protesters but trump begged his security team and supporters to keep things peaceful and they did. that allowed trump to focus his fire on the real target of the night, the system of selecting delegates which he called rigged, crooked and corrupt. >> next tuesday you're going to go out and vote. you hear them when they say, it doesn't matter who you vote for,
