i'm kristen sze. >> eric thomas. the public defender is expected to release more video showing police behaving badly. two dozen drug cases may have to be dropped because of previous videos. abc7's terry mcsweeney is live in san francisco with the details for us. terry? >> reporter: yeah, public defend defender releasing more videos today. all with the same basic plot. that is police breaking the law. look at the surveillance video he says shows just that. he says it shows plain-clothes officers stealing a laptop and camera bag at hotel room of drug dealer and then they lied to cover it up. today, the d.a.'s office is expected to announce 26 cases are being dismissed. police union spokesman counters that argument and says it makes no sense. here's both sides. >> the district attorney decided rather than to try the case to dismiss it because of the credibility of the officers is called in question. >> they are not going to steal a laptop computer that is eight years old that belongs to a speeder in the tenderloin. >> a

i'm kristen sze. >> i'm eric thomas. >> new details about operation anyplace tune star the pentagon's official name for the commando raid that killed osama bin laden. there is word this morning that navy seals went ahead with the raid even though they weren't sure that bin laden was there. janelle has more details. >> we heard the c.i.a. was only 60 to 80% that osama bin laden was in the compound even after months of preparing for this mission navy seals were well aware they may not find the al-qaeda leader at his home. they are clarifying details when the navy seals found bin laden in an upstairs bedroom. he did not have a weapon but his wife rushed a navy seal. she was shot in the leg but survived. c.i.a. director leon panetta says the seals had a split second to make a decision. they killed bin laden and brought his body out into a u.s. military helicopter. they are going through the hard drives and dvds a lot of it in arabic hoping it will reveal critical information. >> the first thing they are looking for a plan we know that he went over attack plans including the 9/11 plans. >>

i'm kristen sze. >> i'm eric thomas. we begin in oakland where police are looking for the person or people who opened fire in a block fire. two people were killed and a woman is in critical condition. abc7's amy hollyfield is live at the oakland police department. amy? >> police are still working the case. they are trying to figure out if a sideshow was going on at the time of the shootings. two people told abc7 news they saw a sideshow. one person told us that he called police repeatedly, but they never came to help. this all started out as a block party. and turned deadly around 9:20 last night. that's when two people were shot and killed. a man and a woman. and a third victim also a woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. no arrests were made. the three victims were in a car when they were shot. sideshows often turn violent. the show involves people showing off their cars and turning doughnuts and speeding in the streets. police cracked down on them. appear to eradicated them. last summer the chief anno

. >> i'm kristen sze. >> an amazing survival story for a little dog discovered in the charred remains of an apartment building in san francisco. a massive fire left dozens without homes and injured four firefighters. terry mcsweeney is live at the scene south of market? >> i'm here on folsom street between 6th and 7th. firefighters are still here. they have fire hoses still running into the building. concerned about the possible flare-ups from hot spots they have been going in and out of the residential hotel all morning long. during one visit, take a look at what they found. on the top floor, middle of this burned out building, they found a chihuahua. what other kind of dog would you find on cinco de mayo. the flames burned right up to the closet. it had to be filled with smoke at the height of all this but the chihuahua is uninjured, frightened but a short time turned over to animal control to be reunited with his owner later today. take a look at the fire at its peak. take a look at what that dog survived. you see the flames from miles away. you see the smoke from much of the east
