i'm kristen sze. >> and i'm terry mcsweeney in for eric thomas. a shocker in contra costa county as a man is shot in the head in a popular walking trail. it happened in pittsburg and victim is in critical condition. amy hollyfield joins us live from pittsburg with more. >> reporter: good morning, terry. this is second shooting on this trail in two turning this lovely place into a dangerous spot. it happened at 8:30 last night a man was shot in the head while he was walking on the trail. someone realized there had been a shooting and ran into the mcdonald's to call 911 but no one saw anything, at least police haven't found anyone who saw anything, they have no witnesses and no suspect information. it happened at atlantic avenue and harbor road or around that area but near that intersection. the victim is in critical condition. they don't know if he was targeted if this was gang violence or random attack. they don't know much at this point. they don't have any witnesses. now back in may, a man was shot in the shoulder at about 11:30 in the night, th

i'm kristen sze. our top story, richmond police are busy after violent night. four people were shot and two people died. nick smith is live at news department. do they think they are linked? >> reporter: absolutely. the lieutenant says he thinks the investigation will reveal information that it was a feud between two separate communities. take a look at the video. they are investigating a double homicide that took place around 10:15 in 400 block of bissel avenue. a man in his 30s and woman in her 30s were both shot and killed. they were found lying on the sidewalk and pronounced dead at the scene. a female in her 20s was also shot. they were standing outside an apartment building at the time of the shooting. there is currently no suspects and have been no arrests but richmond pd told me they are investigating that shooting with the connection to an earlier shooting with a man in his 20s that was shot around 9:45 p.m. near gertrude avenue. as with the other case there is currently no suspects and have been no arrests. back here live. the lieutenant told me just

. >> and i'm kristen sze. >> we're following developing news in oakland where police and firefighters or the scene of a suspicious fire that severely burned a man overnight. >> this morning, firefighters were at a home on fourth street. they found a man suffering what they called life-threatening burns. fire was knocked down and the man was treated at a local hospital. and they will likely spend the next few hours looking for hot spot spots and the fire will likely be a police matter. nick smith is on the way to the scene. >>> top story, a dramatic turn of event in the beating of bryan stow. we're supposed to learn two now suspects that were arrested outside of dodgers stadium where there is new developments in stow's recovery. >> reporter: big week for the stow family. this is the second time we've heard about an arrest from the l.a. police department on this case. is the first time they got it wrong when they arrested giovanni ramirez and they insisted he was the one that did it. we spoke with the reporter that broke the story about the two new arrests. >> sources close to us, this

thank you for joining us i'm kristen sze. >> they are investigating whether there is any relationship between a shooting and a fatal shooting last week along a popular trail. >> reporter: police have been here all night protecting the scene and investigators will arrive at daybreak to look for evidence. big question to get answered is related to last weeks shooting. it happened close to each other about less than a mile apart. this happened around midnight. victim was taken to the hospital and he was alive at the time but they haven't received an update on his confident. they don't know whether it was a random shooting but it appears they've got a trend. this is the third shooting since may. one that happened last week that man was killed. the victim had an extensive criminal record and police don't think the shooting was random. back in may the victim survived. he told police that the group of men he encountered flashed gang signs before they shot him. take a look at the scene. it's this part of the trail is surrounded by homes. it happened in a neighborhood that is bordered by house
