i'm kristen sze. it ended at sooner street and lorenzo avenue where a suspect rammed into a police car. matt keller is live at the scene, matt, police say they got there just in time? >> reporter: yes, kristen, and we're where the chase ended here in oakland. this is the suspect's car being towed. they are waiting for a search warrant for weapons or evidence in the car. this started at u7:45 this morning. the suspect went to the home and assaulted a family member, the suspect kidnapped the woman, and took off in his car. the officers saw the vehicle take off. they saw the suspect ram into a patrol vehicle, and eventually, the chase ended on lorenzo avenue and sooner street. they said if they arrive any later, it's possible there was another ending. >> the suspect repeatedly threatened to kill her. we're extremely happy our officers were able to have such a quick response, locate the car, the victim, and the victim is okay. she's not injured. >> reporter: now, the suspect, man in his 30s, was arrested
