. >> the eyewitness news reporter kristin thorne is live in north bergen with the very latest details. good morning, kristen. >> good morning, rob and toni. >> reporter: here at the scene union city high school is coming here, one of his friends is one who lost his life, a sophomore at union city high school. another local high school student was killed here. you see some of the young people from the high school arriving here at the scene. they tell me that these two local high school students were walking with a third boy here last night when a car jumped the curb and hit them. they tell me that the third boy is in the hospital and is recovering. but again, two local high school students, according to young people, telling me here at the scene were killed during this accident last night. let's show you footage that we have from last night. this happened around 9:30 in north bergen. a car jumped the curb around 26 26th street and jfk boulevard city high school. there was a large police presence here last night. we have not received any police. i am just telling you what many young people are telling me one
