space and defense correspondent kristin fisher is live at the kennedy space center for us, also with thus we have a colonel chris hadfield, astronaut and retired commander of the international space station. okay. so kristen, what's the latest where do learning on the ground? >> so right now everybody is focused on the two astronauts onboard this spacecraft, the commander boots hello more, and the pilot, sunny williams. right now, you've got the blue team going in and they've got to get these astronauts off safely and they're essentially sitting on top of a bomb, right? a fully fueled rocket. this is highly flammable. it's dangerous work and so right now, everybody is focused on getting these astronauts off. it's something they trained to do. they did this dozens and dozens of times during space shuttle launches. >> but it's still risky. so that's the primary focus, right? >> right now. >> while they focused on that, engineers are going to be reviewing what triggered this automatic hold or an automatic abort by the computer that launches this rocket. >> that's the big question here.

a judge is expected to decide on monday how much kristin smart's convicted killer owes her family in restitution. restitution hearings were held this week in monterey county, with paul flores appearing via zoom. smart's family testified about the financial impact of her disappearance, such as travel expenses for court appearances. flores was sentenced to 25 years to life for the 1996 murder of smart, when they were both students at cal poly. her body has never been found in the east bay. the deadly shooting of a security guard in fremont is now under investigation. police say the guard was killed late last night in a shopping center. ktvu is mark sayer spoke with workers at that center reacting to last night's shooting. >> this video provided two ktvu shows the massive police response at the fremont hub. fremont police say 911 callers reported that the security guard and another person were initially involved in a verbal altercation at some point, the guard was shot and killed. how the suspect who police found with stab wounds ended up with those wounds is not known. >> so we got a s
