kristin thorne is live in forest hills with what we know at this hour. good morning, kristin. >> reporter: good morning, rob. this is the sixth fire. look at the devastation to this most recent property. this is another construction site. this construction site was also police are releasing a photo of a man seen leaving this area earlier this morning. here is the photo. it was taken by somebody who lives near the house and saw the man peeling out. the man is wanted, a person of interest in at least this most recent fire. this fire happened around 12:30 this morning. all these fires happened at construction sites. again, this property, you are looking at was set on fire last month. thankfully no one was hurt in any of these incidents. again, these are vacant properties. the fire this morning on 69th road rose to two alarms. people are stunned that this happened again. >> with all the other houses believe it. this one caught fire before already or now it seems like someone set this one on fire before. >> reporter: this is the sixth arson that happened in fo

kristin thorne is live at a forest hills jewish center where a meeting is underway to of fires. good morning, kristin. >> good morning, rob. six fires in this fringe of arsons which is why members of the community are at the jewish community center. they want to find answers. they want to find a person doing this. they say enough is enough. police releasing a photo of a man seen leaving this fire earlier this morning. here it is. it was a picture taken by someone who lives in the neighborhood and saw this man peeling out from the scene. a clear picture of him. he is considered a person of interest in this most recent this fire happened around 12:30 this morning, 69th road, forest hills. the same property was set on fire november 15th. all these fires are happening in residential construction sites. six of them since november 8th. thankfully in any incident. people who live in forest hills are stunned that this has happened again. >> we are shocked. many all the communities are shocked. i want to know how to catch the person. >> reporter: police say in nearly all of these incident

a kristin thorn is live in bed sky with today's events. >> reporter: good morning. well, following that memorial plaque dedication at the 84th precinct, which is where the officers worked, everyone, the mayor, the police commissioner members will come to the site where they were killed here in brooklyn. this is wreath-laying ceremony. it was one year ago today they were gunned down inside their patrol car on the street. officers rushed to the scene but it was too late. detectives raf yale ramos and wenjian lou were killed and their attacker turned the gun himself. the violence brought the brooklyn community out in mourning as a memorial grew in the spot where the detectives were killed. their funerals brought police officers and law enforcement officials from around the country to new york as they detective liu was 32 years old and a seven-year veteran of the force. he had been married just two months before he was killed a40-year-old detective ramos was a father of two. last week his wife of 22 years announced the details of a foundation she is starting in his name

kristin thorne is live outside police headquarters in yay pang. . >> reporter: shirleen, thankfully the woman was not hurt. she was shot once in her hand and in her leg and thankfully these bullets did not hit her 11 week old daughter who was in the backseat. the concern for police here is that the shooter is still out there. this all happened around 9:00 last night on sunrise highway in east patchog. nicole's boyfriend edward was driving when he noticed a minivan driving erratically. pontis flashed his lights. the driver of the minivan slammed on his brakes and then there was a sort of back and forth what you would call a road rage incident. pulled up, rolled down his window and began yelling at the suspect, eventually he slammed on his brakes. the driver of the minivan pulled along side and fired two shots through the passenger door. both bullets coming very close to hitting that baby in the backseat. again, mcdowell shot once in the hand and the leg. >> and the couple described hearing two shots. at that point the minivan sped off. it exited at hospital road and was last seen eastbou

kristin thorne has the story from jamaica. >> reporter: 21-year-old urabia nelson is recovering here at jamaica hospital. she is in critical condition suffering from a severe head injury and a broken leg. this is the mustang that was allegedly being driven by 23- year-old denzel watson. police say watson was driving on beach 19th street in far rockaway yesterday when he hit nelson who was crossing the street with her 5-year-old niece. witnesses say nelson pushed the child out of the way so the child would not be hit by the car. nelson was struck. witnesses tell us that watson who has seven prior arrests including possessing a stolen loaded gun that witnesses tell us watson may have run a red light. >> i was shocked. i was in awe because when you see that, you see a person that do something like that, like somebody has no mercy and they don't care for life, and they just care to get to the next green light. it's not that serious. >> police tracked down watson happened. he's being charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury and aggravated vehicle. we're live outsi
