news4's kristin wright tells her story. >> reporter: michelle abbotty gott got engaged in april. the perfect dress marked down in california. the boutique shipped the gown to michelle in northern virginia a month ago, but the dress was nowhere to be found. is this your dream dress? >> it really is. you know, and i never imagined that i would find a dress like this. >> reporter: the first grade teacher says ups was giving her the run around and couldn't find her dress. she says they told her tracking shows the gown traveled from california to maryland, but then back to california. after that, the dress shipped to maryland again and now michelle says tracking information shows it in the midwest in illinois. >> it's going back and forth and when i ask why, i'm told that it's been sent to the wrong center, ma'am. but there's absolutely no explanation for why. >> reporter: the bride's frustration goes beyond the dress. she says she spends hours on the phone calling ups. her e-mail to customer service yesterday only got a one-line response. >> corporations are not being held accountabl

news4's kristin wright told to riders shaken by the news. >> reporter: the attack happens just blokdspital on sunday at about 4:00 in the morning. tonight police are looking for that driver. police say the woman was getting a ride from a ride share company when the driver stopped the car on east capital between 4th and 5th. the attack was violent. the woman told police the driver groped her and then put his hands around her neck and choked her when she started to yell. she fought him off and got out of the car as he tried to sexually assault her. police say he also punched her. news of the attack is unsettling to people in the neighborhood. >> of course i'm very disturbed by that. i have used uber, never lyft, and always had a very good experience. so it makes all of us think about personal safety and what steps we can take to protect ourselves. >> i work a night shift from 3:00 to 3:30, so i uber back here every night at 3:30. of course i'm a male so i'm not worried about that, but i feel for the woman and i hope they catch him. >> reporter: police say they haven't confirmed if it wa

. >> news4's kristin wright continues our team coverage from vdot salt dome in southeast. hi, kristin. >> reporter: hey there. i want to tell you, there is a lot of salt here. so, that is definitely not going to be a problem. let me show you what it looks like. it's just a big huge, huge mountain of salt. so, there is nothing going on here right now this evening, but don't let that fool you. we just talkit he said they are deploying their entire snow team. what is going to happen is they're checking in here at the salt dome at midnight and they're going to be on the roads hitting the roads by 2:00. they're going to put down rock salt first and then after a few hours of snow, we're told they'll start to plow. so, it's really a good thing. the director told us this first snow is happening on the weekend because obviously they won't have to deal with the same types of traffic that we see during the week. so, we also checked in with maryland, with dot there. they pretreated a lot of their roads there. they say some of the warmer ground temperature should help things out. also v
