let's to to our own kristina partsinevelos. e is this lumberton, north carolina, where there is widespread flooding and people are trying to deal with the after effects. hey, kristina. reporter: trish you can see right now i'm on a rescue boat. we went into the community of mayfair behind me to see if there was anybody who needed to be rescued. there is one woman with three pets that got out. the i amazing thing that is happening everything is run by volunteers. you see in the distance, showing volunteers, volunteer boats. you see the height of the water. this is a highway. a few people on social media ask me what am i doing in a river. clearly this isn't a river right now. behind me is a massive days inn hotel. the whole first floor is completely submerged. we're trying to get closer. the unfortunate thing, people still in the little town of mayfair don't want to leave. they think they can handle it. however at the haven't had power since friday. parts of the entire area is flooded. you see a lot of rescue people on the side ov
