kristine sloan is live outside the courthouse. kristine. >> reporter: the two former day care workers in court defending themselves but investigators said they obtained cell phone video of the alleged fights between the little kids at the day care. >> anything you want to say? why did you make those kids fight? >> shanese white didn't want to talk to me leaving court. she's one of the teachers charged with making kids fight at the light bridge academy. the both stood before a judge in union county. >> do you understand your rights? >> yes. >> how do you plead? >> not guilty. >> not guilty. >> prosecutors say kenny videotaped a dozen kids shoving each other sending several clips to a group of people. in the clips investigators say references made to the movie fight club. >> the day care workers encouraging it and taping it. judge spoke to her. >> i was never arrested. >> those who knew the two stunned by the charges. his wife used to work with them. >> i don't even know why they would do something like that. to do it more than once

we are live in newark, kristine sloan, cbs 2 news. >> thank you. >>> another suspect capture ed -- captured. >> police caught a suspect on the run after escaping police custody. hazel sanchez has more live from tribeca. >> reporter: suspect tiffany neumann is being held under police watch. she had been on the run since sunday night and was finally busted this morning at a relative's house on the upper west side. >> for just more than a day 23-year-old tiffany neumann eluded police. sunday night while in police custody at the hospital in lower manhattan she slipped out of her handcuffs in an exam room when the officer took a bathroom break. she was under arrest for running out of her bill at this restaurant and stealing clothes. >> neumann told police she was pregnant and not feeling well and that's how she landed in the hospital. she wasn't expecting a child and wasn't who police told police she was. >> she stole my identity. >> this is the kristine figaredo. she called cbs 2 in a panic sunday night after hearing her name reported on the 11:00 news. she lost her id and somehow it landed in
