kristy siefkin tracking a hurricane, hurricane payne, currently churning off the coast of mexico, and this one is actually going to have an effect on our weather, right, kris ty. >> it is definitely going to have an effect, kari. you have probably already noticed the increased cloud cover, making its way across the state into the area this evening, a big push of moisture making its way and arizona. as kari mentioned, this system called payne, very gusty winds, 80 miles an hour winds, gusts up to 90 miles an hour earlier today. by the time we get into the far eastern sections of the baja, this will be a tropical depression. still a ways off the coastline of california, but we are seeing california already in arizona. take a look at these dew points, inching up number by number throughout the afternoon and evening into the 50s and into the 60s. you'll also notice the cooler temperatures as a result of that system moving in, and i'll tell you more about how that will affect our forecast in terms of rain coming up a little bit later on in the show. >> okay, see you in a bit, kristy. >>> a
