kron 4's gabe slate reports.anta rosa police released this graphic picture today depicting a young woman with an assault rifle claiming to be a school shooter with the warning to avoid a santa rosa high school.this picture was floating around social media police are looking into it police believe it may be related to the violent threat found on a bathroom wall at a santa rosa high school that lead to over 1,000 kids being sent home early and the arrest of a 16 year old student believed to write the message. that was just one of four incidents this week in the bay area where violent threats were made against a school and it's students.these words "everyone is dead" were discovered on a bathroom wall at alameda high school it prompted hundreds of students to stay home on tuesday. law enforcement is investigating. and in san jose a threat surfaced on twitter that some alum rock schools would be "shot up". at the same time on an unnamed social network someone threatened violence against oak grove schools in san jose.

(catherine) san jose police have arrested a suspect in a series of armed robberies. they believe daniel mendoza is responsible for at least five robberies. four in san jose and one in milpitas. and possibly more throughout the bay area. thesre are surveillance videos from the robberies in question. in most cases, police say the suspect pointed a gun at a clerk....then took cash..and or lottery scratchers. detectives say he usually fled in a 20-17 black jeep with paper plates. he's now facing five counts of robbery. c

kron 4's charles clifford has the details.ee companies will need to include cancer warnings with their coffee.the decision is based on california's prop 65, which was passed by voters in 1986. that law requires companies to display a warning label if their products contain chemicals that are known to cause cancer. one of the chemicals on the list is acrylamide, which is produced in small amounts in coffee during the roasting process. the judge concluded that coffee companies failed to show that acrylamide is safe, and thus a warning label is needed.in response, the national coffee association released a statement thursday saying that they are dissapointed with the ruling and exploring legal options. association president & ceo william murray said, "coffee has been shown, over and over again, to be a healthy beverage. this lawsuit has made a mockery of prop 65, has confused consumers, and does nothing to improve public health"in san francisco thursday afternoon, coffee drinkers had mixed reactions to the idea of warning label.
