( robin )new this morning... a bay area construction company's violations are beginning to surface... after a man died while on the job. patrick ricketts, who worked for shimmick construction, died almost a week ago... after a steel beam struck him while working on the twin peaks tunnel in san francisco. according to the cal- osha... shimmick construction has a history of workplack and safety violations... including a november 20-16 incident in which a worker operating a forklift died after losing control and going into a trench. san francisco supervisor, norman yee, plans to hold a hearing next month to investigate how city contractors are chosen.
