we're going to check in with krystal klei. it has been so frigid, krystal, the last few days. it has warmed up and that has bode well for us on the roads. >> absolutely. that's what we were expecting was going to happen. this was a warm front that moved in. that sounds weird that a warm front moved in. it is not going to be warm or hot but warmer air than what we have been seeing. we saw highs in the 30s. not the case for today. a look at camelback mountain. even in camelback mountain, temperatures are going to boost up to the 30s, potentially near 40. we see that now this live camera is showing we are no longer tracking that wintry mix falling stl throughout the morning. areas like allentown, we saw icing. that has been stopped as well. we are no longer seeing freezing rain reports there. instead, it is all rain in our neck of the woods. what we are looking at here is that that line of rain is starting to weaken on the back side. as this tracks from west to east, we will start to see less and less rain. this is going to be later on. for the morning commute, starting right now

that's what meteorologist krystal klei is taking a close look at for now. krystal? >> we had our eyes close on the numbers. they're slowly climbing. this is what we need to see. we are right at freezing. still upper 20s in mays landing, summer point. not a big difference from a half hour ago. some spots a degree or two warmer. what's happening is that warm air is wedging in. that's above the surface, starting to see the precipitation melt. we need that warm air to make it down to the ground so it stays melted instead of refreezing and becoming icy conditions that are dangerous. that's what we are seeing in delaware and new jersey currently. looking at philadelphia, all the temperatures below freezing. graduate hospital, 28, chestnut hill, 25. same for fox chase, mid-20s. then looking at the lehigh valley. a lot of time for us before we see the numbers get above freezing. most of us in the lehigh valley, berks county in the 20s. moving through allentown, 23 degrees for the current temperature. look at what we are looking at for your time line. ending of snow and ice.

. >> krystal has more on the warmup. >> we're ready for it to start happening. there it is, comparing today to yesterday this exact same time. it's 9 degrees warmer in dover, allentown, nearly at that 10 mark and trenton at 11 degrees warmer. here's the actual temps, a lot of these are at the 40s. we officially hit 45 in philadelphia this afternoon. now at 42 degrees. even allen getting in on the action at freezing. we're going to see these clouds hanging on. we have seen these clouds throughout the day. what we're looking at on radar, the snow isn't making it to the ground in the lehigh valley, but there's snow in the upper layers of the atmosphere. 38 by 6:00 here, we get to freezing right around 10:00. and that's pretty much where we'll stay as we move into tomorrow morning in philadelphia. for the suburbs, clouds hanging on. we get a little colder with clouds in the 20s there. we don't see that huge plunge in the overnight hours and early a.m. hours like we have been seeing. in the lehigh valley, 33 degrees around 6:00. so we did see right now we're in the u
