ktvu viewers. we'd like to hear how the bart strike is impacting you today. go to ktvu.com's facebook page and share your story, let us know how you're getting to and from work and dealing with people and extra means of transportation. >>> there's another big commute problem from the bay area. this involved a big rig that got stuck at the toll plaza on the golden gate bridge. christian joins us live. >> reporter: first off, yes, the traffic is moving nicely through the goledden gate plaza. the big rig was moved. and as it gets out of the way, you can see the number 3 lane. you can see possibly that crews still working on that number 3 lane trying to repair some of the damage that big rig caused. the driver got stuck at about 8:45 this morning. the driver was telling highway patrol he was southbound from santa rosa into san francisco and trying to make his way into the wider trucking lanes on the bridge. he says traffic would not let him in, so hes says he decided to try to make it in the regular toll lanes and got stuck. the axle was snapped and left his truck stuck in the lane. >> la

he saw facebook posts encouraging and praising operators and operations today during the bart strike. reporting live, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> buses are from bart. they are offering free limited bus service during peak commute howevers. this morning people lined up -- hours. this morning people lined up early. they will run again tomorrow morning from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. it is first come and first serve and you have to keep your ticket to get a ride back. >> the ferry was packed today. ktvu's paul chambers is live. how bad are the lines? >> reporter: bart strike is causing headaches for many commuters. on top of the ferry right now. going to ride it to oakland from the san francisco bay. -- from the san francisco bay. it made a lot of people upset but they are happy to make it into the city. >> the evening commute has begun and so has the rush to make the ferry. >> i hope bart starts soon. >> they know the strike is here. >> reporter: day one brought 7,835 passengers to the ferry system. that is three times a normal day and it ated three more vessels and extend -- added three more vessels and extended h
