confirmed there was a jury question that the attorneys addressed today, and he told our ktvu crime reporter, henry lees surprised by that question. the jury will return at 130 on monday afternoon. >> an audit of the san francisco police department has uncovered potential abuse of sick leave and overtime, as the city faces a massive deficit. the audit by the city's budget and legislative analysts found frequent use of sick days on the first or last day of the workweek, as well as on weekends. it also found that some officers called in sick in order to work private security jobs. the city spent more than $108 million on overtime in the five year audit period. in a written response, sfpd agreed with most of the audits 30 recommendations, including monitoring to manage overtime and regular audits of sick leave. in a statement to ktvu. the department says it is critically understaffed due to the pandemic and subsequent crisis in policing. they added as a necessary stopgap measure, the sfpd has been using overtime to backfill our patrol and investigation units to ensure san francisco remains one of the safe
