let's go now to meteorologist kyla grogan and kyla a little cooler today but still hot away from the coast. yes absolutely. i mean, certainly we are feeling the effects of the marine layer, making its presence known yet again, which is going to spring. you know, it's going to be big relief for people who are inland as it finally starts to trickle further inland. really, it's not even the coast that's been having cool temperatures now i wanted to take a look at where that fire is that we're just talking about rock springs park right now, you know, this isn't terrible firefighting weather, so this is some good news at 74 degrees there. right now. the wind out of the northwest at just nine mph. so the point is, this is helpful to firefighters that these temperatures have started to pull back and again. it has everything to do with the fact that that high pressure is going to relent a bit and let that marine layer in and boy look at the difference. what a difference a day makes. it was 107 degrees in fairfield yesterday in just 88 today, these are some of the preliminary highs from today
