kyla campbell joins us from washington with the issues that still remain unresolved good afternoon, kyla. >> reporter: david, i just got off the phone with senate officials and they say there's no word yet on a possible vote today. with the hours ticking away, president obama came out to say a deal is in sight but it's not yet complete. vice president joe biden took over negotiations with mitch mcconnell yesterday after talks stalled between senate leaders. now, mcconnell said just minutes ago he wants to move forward on the tax offer and the latest democratic offer is to raise taxes on households making more than $450,000 a year. but there's still disagreements about spending cuts. >> that has been a good faith negotiation. we all want to protect tax payers. and can get it done now. >> we have to do this in a balanced and responsible way and if we're gonna be serious about deficit and debt reduction, there will have to have be some sacrifices. >> reporter: -- there have have to be some sacrifices. >> reporter: again, no votes have been scheduled at this point. kyla campbell, ktvu channe
