the lake fire started yesterday near big bear, about 100 miles east of l.a. nearly 200 people were forced to leave the area. the fire is 5% contained and no word yet on what caused it. >>> city of berkeley released documents that pertain to the building where a balcony collapsed. six people died there week while standing on that fourth floor balcony when it failed. the city released architectural plans as well as permits that are related to the building. meanwhile, a memorial is growing at that apartment complex. candles, flowers, some other items are being placed in memory of the victims. that apartment building in berkeley is less than 10 years old. the company that built it segue construction has been sued in recent years. those cases involved allegations of dry rot and balcony problems at condo and apartments in san jose and millbrae. both cases were settled in 2013. >>> a big party in downtown san francisco is just a day away. the civic center plaza is empty now but tomorrow night it will be filled with thousands of people. they are celebrating city hall
