cnn political contributors will cain and l.z. granderson are here to talk about that., then candidate obama raised $750 million. the obama campaign may fall short this time around. i think they are up to 300 million so far. lz, do you care to expound on why? >> i think two main reasons you can look at. number one, senator obama was running against hillary clinton. he was in a primary. and so there was a lot of money raised early on because he was in the middle of a heavy battle. back in 2007, the first quarter, hillary clinton made big news because she had the record for the amount of money raised by any kaented at that time in 2007 for the first quarter. what you're looking at is a candidate who is not running against anyone else right now. and then, two, the reality is that there is some lack of enthusiasm. they are not necessarily enthusiasm for president obama and his policies but the fact they have made up their mind. a lot of his supporters know who they are voting for so no need to vote with their money because they will vote with their votes later. >> interesti
