i am so excited to finally be at la fenix. this project is so exciting for me because i remember when we were first opening navigation centers in san francisco, and this was one of the first locations that we opened a navigation to supervise shelter and support to people who were experiencing homelessness. but before that, we remembered there was a continuation high school. sometimes, when kids got into trouble, they had to go somewhere, and this was a place that provided an opportunity for kids to get their diploma. it was also a place where labor folks learned their activitie. it's been so much for the community, and so it is so fitting that we're able to transform this space into 100% affordable housing for families, 155 units.
