at that point, i hadn't yet become fully aware of the role of dangerous overmedication and off label medication. that awareness came about because some other reporting that i found that i dug into which had to do circa 2009 and 2010 concerns that veterans were being heavily overmedicated for ptsd with antipsychotics in combination with antidepressants and tranquilizers and this barrage of chemicals as opposed to actually providing thoughtful compassionate care, let alone evidence-based cognitive treatments. those are three arenas that have stood with me since then. then i began researching my book about 2013 and so, this is a long-winded answer but i wanted to explain the context of why i am covering all that. then there's a fourth element which is the abusive troubled team facilities which exist for parents who don't know how to deal with kids or misbehaving or drug users and i expose what amounts to team torture facilities across the country that focus on telling the story primarily of a program in alabama. these abusive facilities and the net residential treatment facilities for u
